Celebrating 30 Years
An amazing day celebrating 30 years as an ordained minister of the Church of England. I preached at the 0900 and 1030 services at St Mary's, Cogges and was thrilled that four people prayed to receive Christ. It was such joy to see friends there from previous chapters of my life, former colleagues, tutors, students and mentees. We had an amazing lunch in the church hall before a series of speeches. Thanks to all who came and made it such a memorable occasion.

Wedding in Cornwall
I’m on the train to Cornwall to preach at my Goddaughter's wedding on Saturday (6th June 2026) and the train is severely delayed. This was due to a medical emergency: there was a call on the tannoy for a “doctor on board” so I went to the loo going in as a layman and emerged as a clergyman and attended the scene to assist. A Doctor and a nurse were there already and there were the inevitable jokes about the situation “not being that bad”. I said I was there not to offer last

Knowing God as Father
At the hotel, about to head off to the conference to do the early morning Bible teaching (0800-1030). One of the diocesan staff knocked on my hotel door last night about 10 pm to tell me I was doing this 😜. I’ll be sharing from my own experience of not knowing my dad and the comfort, consolation and healing I have found in the Fatherhood of God. Please pray that many will be impacted and find a measure of healing who are from a similar background, Thanks

Uganda Mission
A joy and a delight to teach the Sunday School this morning at St Peter’s parish Church in Inganga Uganda 🇺🇬 at the main morning service. I shared my testimony about becoming a Christian (aged 11) and Samuel (aged 11) came forward to illustrate the point. I talked about the need to “get down from the piggyback” of your parents faith and own it for yourself (if you’re blessed enough to come from a Christian home as most of them were). It was moving that many made a decision

Different Day, Different Campus
Good to be out on a different university campus in Budapest today with the wonderful international team of CU guests. We gave away pastries and drinks, engaged people in conversation and invited people to the final event tonight (13th March). It was a privilege to pray with one individual to receive Christ.

The University of Twente, Enschede
One of the things I love about university missions is the opportunity to sit around and have informal one-to-one conversations about God, spirituality and the deeper questions of life that sometimes don’t get addressed in our frenetic lives. Last night was no different and it was great to stay round after the evening talk to chat to students in the students union building on campus.

SOMA Meeting
A good planning meeting yesterday with Richard Moy and Claire and Tiff from SOMA about a trip to the continent of Africa, where I’m leading a team later in the year. It’s to the Central Busoga Diocese of the Church of Uganda and it was good to be joined on the call by its Bishop, the Rt Revd Patrick Wakul . We look forward to partnering with him and serving the vision of the diocese and learning from the people of God in that place.

One of my Prayer Partners
Good to catch up with my dear friend and prayer partner Matthew Porter today when I spoke at the College of Archbishop’s Evangelists (of which he is the Chair). We both spoke affectionately of the third man in our triplet Ric Thorpe who we have lent to the Anglican Church of Australia for a season to serve as the Archbishop of Melbourne.

Sharing Hope
It’s been lovely being back in my home county of Lancashire this weekend to lead the Church anniversary weekend for Caton Baptist Church. It’s been a busy time doing a training conference on Saturday as well as being the after dinner speaker for a celebration dinner on Saturday night. It was a joy to preach to a packed chapel this morning and then at a special outreach service tonight. Wonderful to see six people come to Christ and hopefully (by information, inspiration and i
