I overshot my stop in the small hours of yesterday (as I was asleep) and as I disembarked, I met Maria (not her real name) a 55 year old lady from Oxford, who told me her parents were Serbian immigrants at the end of the Second World War.

She was walking to her house near where I had left my parked car and we walked back together, Maria hobbling along with a walking stick. She shared about her tough life and the conversation turned to things spiritual.

Maria wanted to pray to receive Christ and as she did she cried and reached out to me for a hug.

I gave her a pictorial Gospel to read and she was so grateful.

It was a fitting end to my overseas mission trip.
