Congratulations to the new Bishop of Bolton

Congratulations to my dear friend and prayer partner Matthew Porter who is to serve as the next Bishop of Bolton.

Matthew is a gifted, godly, prayerful and humble man deeply committed to the Gospel.

He is a Minister of Word and Spirit: passionate about Biblical orthodoxy and the power of the Holy Spirit.

This is good news indeed for the Church of England and the college of Bishops at this critical time in the life of our national Church (sad to say you don't get too many Bishops like him to the pound).
